More Tips for Eating Out:
A baked potato offers a good source of fiber, try topping your potato with broccoli and a sprinkle of cheese or salsa.
In place of fries, choose a side salad, vegetable, fruit, baked potato. Or just share the fries with a friend.
At a salad bar, pile on the dark leafy greens, carrots, broccoli, peppers, and more good fresh vegetables.
Load your pizza with lots of vegetable toppings.
Try a smoothie made with real fruit and yogurt for a snack
Refrigerate carry-out or leftovers if the food won’t be eaten right away. Toss out any food that has been kept out at room temperature for more than 2 hours.
If you decide to grab dinner at the supermarket, pick up a rotisserie chicken, fresh organic lettuce, cucumber, sunflower seeds, and any other toppings of your liking.
Easy snacks on the go: trail mix, granola bars, fruit, veggies, whole grain crackers with peanut butter.
If you are picking up sandwiches make sure you load it with veggies, choose lean beef, chicken, turkey, or ham, and get whole grain bread.
